Full Game for Adventure Fans
Cavernous Wastes PS VR PS4 is an adventure game that takes place in a dark cavern. Players need to explore the maze of caverns in order to try and find a way out. it quickly becomes clear that the cavern is occupied by monsters that lurk in the dark, although the storyline of the game is only revealed slowly as players progress.
Lost in the Dark
Despite the use of virtual reality, the graphics do not really impress as much as they should. The cavern is dark for the most part and is illuminated by the light that is shone by players as they progress. This means that much of the screen is dark, which can be very disorientating and makes getting around difficult. The fact that it is not possible to save progress in the game is a real drawback, making it necessary to start over every time.
Shedding a Little Light
Considering the fact that Cavernous Wastes PS VR PS4 was made by just one person and must have been a real labour of love it is a fair effort. The game is not likely to become a firm favourite with many players, but it provides a good way to pass the time and some of the fight sequences are fairly engaging.
